One person who will not be able to log onto the site, but really
would have enthused about it is Sally Pullin (1968-1975) - Davies
& Morrison Houses. Sally was Head of the 6th Form in 1975 &
lots of fun - participated in operas/drama, Ten Tors etc. She went
on to become a teacher, settling in the Forest of Dean. In 1997
Sally contracted leukaemia but sadly, despite her positive and upbeat
approach to this 'challenge', she passed away in 1999. I'm sure
people from our year will remember her, so it would be nice is you
could insert her on the list of past pupils as a fitting memorial
to someone who was a friend to everyone and contributed so much
to school life. |

I've just found the section about Sally Pullin and would like
to add my
comments to the remembrance page. I remember Sally very well, she
was always full of life and laughter. My belated condolences to
her family.
A treasured memory:
On a school trip to the Pennines, the group ended up camping in
a field not far from the infamous Snake Inn. After a few drinks,
Sally left to go back to the campsite, but never actually arrived
there. I and a couple of others set out to look for her; we found
her a couple of miles away the other side of the pub. Apparently
she had followed a sheep that she thought was lost and wanted to
take home! (I believe that she was a farmer's daughter) We walked
back through the darkness singing some rather reprehensible songs
and arrived at the campsite at some unknown time in the morning.
I know that everyone who ever knew her will be saddened by the loss
of such a warm and generous person. |
